spiral II

Saw this rug on Overstock.com a few days ago, and then again today. I just love it. It reminds me of some of Alexander Calder's work (with a different colour scheme of course). I have long loved Calder's work. He is more famous for his mobiles and stabiles than for anything else, but I love it all.

This one is in the East Wing (modern art) of the National Gallery. I don't think it is officially affiliated with the Smithsonian, but it is close by.
